Frequently Asked Questions

Any graduate or undergraduate college students in the U.S. who identifies as female (cis or trans) or non-binary, and is at least 16 years old, are welcome to participate as hackers!

Students may choose to meet in-person for watch parties, working on projects, and attend events together. However, all of our events and judging will be conducted virtually. In-person meetups and activities are limited to UNC Charlotte students in an effort to stay safe with COVID protocols.

You can register with the button at the top of this page! This will register you for the hackathon, and you will need to also register for Axe Hacks on Devpost. Make sure you are registered by March 25th at 3:00pm!

You should receive a welcome email to confirm your registration, and you will be added to our email list for any udpates or announcements! Registration will close on March 25th at 3:00pm.

You should be able to look for team members, and you will be ready to start working on your initial submission when the hackathon starts. Registration will close on March 25th at 3:00pm.

Our Google form gives us more information about you, such as your address for sending swag/prizes, which button you’d like to receive, and more! Devpost is where you will submit your hackathon project and add team members to the project.

Yes, our Discord is now open! Those who have registered will receive the link to join.

Soon! We are finalizing our category prizes and sponsors, and we will update everyone once they are released. You will be able to see all of these on our Devpost.

With this being Axe Hacks first year and having many things to figure out, this helps us ensure things like shipping prizes runs smoothly. It may be opened up in the future, so stay tuned!
